Bath & Body Works has some left

While hand sanitizer is currently sold out on the Bath & Body Works website, some physical stores still have limited supplies left.

The easy way to find out if your local store has any left before leaving the house? Call stores and check.

Bath & Body Works stores have set up automated messages that say if there are any available with some stores’ messages stating any limits and if there is hand soap in stock. The items cannot be held for a customer so keep in mind that the store may run out quickly.

Along with face masks and sanitizing wipes, hand sanitizer has been one of the most in-demand items as coronavirus fears have sparked panic buying that has left store shelves bare.

Can’t find hand sanitizer?:Here’s how to make it at home yourself with vodka or rubbing alcohol

Some Bath & Body Works stores still have hand sanitizer in stock.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says hand-washing with soap and water is the best way to clean your hands, but when that’s not an option, the agency recommends using an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.

Some consumers are going the do-it-yourself route and making batches of homemade hand sanitizer with rubbing alcohol (isopropyl alcohol) or ethanol alcohol. Vodka also is another option but experts say it’s important to make sure a high percentage of alcohol is present like with 180 proof Everclear.
