Apple announced its annual developers conference held in June will shift online amid the spreading coronavirus pandemic.

In a statement released Friday, Apple says its 2020 Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), will feature an “entirely new online format” with information for developers and customers owning Apple products.

“The current health situation has required that we create a new WWDC 2020 format that delivers a full program with an online keynote and sessions, offering a great learning experience for our entire developer community, all around the world,” said Phil Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing, in a statement.

Apple did not offer a date for WWDC, promising more details would be revealed soon.

The tech giant said it’s also donating $1 million to local San Jose organizations to offset the revenue lost by moving its conference exclusively online.

Apple is the latest tech giant to alter its plans because of the coronavirus. Both Facebook and Google cancelled their developers conferences set for this year, opting to offer online options. Meanwhile, companies including Amazon have requested employees work from home as public health authorities try to stem the spread of the virus.
