RTC If it were up to many, a simple Ikea run would turn into an all-day furniture viewing, meatball-consuming experience. As if the furniture store read our minds, Ikea is hosting a sleepover in two of their locations.
Ikea Family members have the chance to win a raffle and spend the night in the stores located in Brooklyn, New York, and Costa Mesa, California, for the Ikea Swede Dreams event. The sleepover will take place on World Sleep Day, Friday, March 13, 2020. There will be 20 winners in each city.
First, you go to a room called the Insomniac Lounge, where you will see different videos and hear sounds designed to make you sleep better.
You can also attend workshops on effective ways of improving your bedtime routine and creating your perfect sleeping environment.
After powering up on Lingonberry drinks, you can boogie down to your favorite jams in your own headphone-isolated personalized party with everyone else in a Silent Disco.
Then there are the after-dark events on Saturday, Feb. 22 from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. But you don’t have to be staying overnight. This event is open to all IKEA customers.
Anyone who’s ever wanted to hang out at an Ikea on a weekend can take workshops about how to prevent sleep problems. and how to manage your closet storage. And you can add yoga classes in the stores and sample an assortment of hot teas, cookies, cheeses and jams to your to-try list.
The online raffle to participate begins Feb. 11, and the winners will be contacted the week of Feb. 24. Winners are allowed to bring one guest.
