For Shamrock Shake fans, Feb. 19 is your lucky day.

Not only will McDonald’s popular mint-flavored shake return to restaurants nationwide for the first time in three years, but it will be joined by the new Oreo Shamrock McFlurry, the Chicago-based fast-food chain announced Wednesday.

Both seasonal items will be available for a limited time starting nearly a month before St. Patrick’s Day.

McDonald’s has served the “iconic, cult-favorite” shake for 50 years, Linda VanGosen, the company’s vice president of menu innovation, said in a statement.

The Shamrock Shake – created in 1967 by Hal Rosen, a Connecticut McDonald’s owner and operator, who made the shake for St. Patrick’s Day – debuted in select locations across the nation in 1970.

McDonald's is bringing back its Shamrock Shake along with a new Oreo Shamrock McFlurry Feb. 19.

It has racked up decades of popularity that shows no sign of waning.

One Twitter user wrote: “Every day we draw nearer to shamrock shake season, and thus, to god’s light.”

Wrote another: “Seasonal depression probably wouldn’t be as bad if the shamrock shake was made available in Early February.”

Even Hulu confessed it was pining for one, with the streaming service tweeting Sunday, “hello mcdonalds, i would like a big mac and a shamrock shake. xoxo, hulu.”
