You don’t have to be a math scholar to be acutely aware that Pi Day equals deals on circular food.
Saturday, March 14 marks the annual celebration of the mathematical constant π (pi), which is the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter. The trillion-digit ratio is rounded to 3.14.
Pi Day, not to be confused with Pie Day held in January, is usually a smorgasbord of deals on pizza, pastry and pot pies, but the coronavirus pandemic may affect some of these offers so call ahead.
Blaze Pizza announced Thursday that it has canceled its annual Pi Day event, which draws large crowds, because of the increased impact of COVID-19. It’s replacing the one-day $3.14 pizza offer with a “Pi Day reward” redeemable Monday through the end of the year. To get the offer, you have to download the app by Sunday.

Pi Day pizza deals
Here are the deals available at participating locations Saturday, unless otherwise noted. To be on the safe side, always check with your closest location before heading out. Also, some will require you to have a restaurant’s app or be signed up for emails.
&pizza: At 3:14 p.m. Saturday, &pizza fans will have three minutes and 14 seconds to text #314 to 200-03 to get a coupon for a $3.14 pizza. Once verified, they will receive a promo code for the discounted pie that must be used within one hour of receiving it. The chain will also have a contest on its social media accounts with a chance to win $314 worth of pizza.
7-Eleven: Get $3.14 pizza in-store or via delivery Saturday through the 7NOW app. Also, 7Rewards members can get a slice of pizza for 50 cents with the app.
BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse: Get a mini one-topping pizza for $3.14 when dining in Saturday. Also, Grubhub is offering $3.14 off BJ’s Deep-Dish pizzas, Tavern Cut Pizzas and Gluten-Free Thin-Crust Pizzas.
Blaze Pizza: The annual Pi Day deal has been canceled because of the large crowds but is being replaced with a new way to get a $3.14 pizza. Download the Blaze Pizza app by 11:59 p.m. PST Sunday to get a Pi Day reward redeemable March 16 through the end of the year.
California Pizza Kitchen: Through Sunday with orders placed on the Postmates app, get $10 off a $30 purchase with promo code CPKDAY.
Cicis: Buy one adult buffet and a large drink Saturday, and get a second adult buffet for $3.14 with a coupon.
Giordano’s: Get $3.14 off a large pizza Saturday with coupon code PIDAY. Valid for online orders for delivery and carry-out.
Hungry Howie’s: From Friday through Sunday, get a medium one-topping pizza for $3.14 with any bread purchase at menu price with code PIDAY. Carryout orders only.
Marco’s Pizza: Buy any large pizza at menu price and get one of equal or lesser value for $3.14 Saturday with offer code PIDAY2020.
MOD Pizza: Get any 11-inch pizza for free through DoorDash when you spend $3.14 and use code MODPIDAY at checkout. Fees apply and there’s a limit of 5,000 free pizzas.
Mountain Mike’s Pizza: Through March 27, get $5 off any mountain-sized pizza with code 207257.
Papa John’s: Buy a large pizza at regular price and get a large, one-topping pizza for $3.14 Saturday.
Papa Murphy’s: Get 31.4% off orders $20 or more Saturday with promo code PIDAY.
Pie Five Pizza: The chain is making Pi Day a three-day event. On Friday, get three personal pizzas for $14; on Saturday, get $3.14 off of any personal pizza; and Sunday, get $3.14 off of any large pizza.
Pieology: Buy one Artisan Thin Pizza, get a second for $3.14 Saturday. New Pie Life Rewards members can enter for a chance to win “Free Pizza for a Year” by downloading the chain’s Pie Life Rewards app Saturday and both new and existing rewards members who use the app Saturday will get $3 off their next visit, valid to redeem Sunday through March 31.
Pilot Flying J: Through Sunday, get $5 off whole pizzas through the Pilot Flying J app.
Pizza Inn: Get a medium Chocolate Chip Pizzert for $3.14 Saturday, when ordered through the Pizza Inn rewards app.
PizzaRev: Get a classic two-topping pizza for $3.14 Saturday with a beverage purchase.
Slice: The mobile app, which works with more than 12,000 pizzerias, is offering $5 off pizza orders $15 or more for new users with promo code PIDAYPIE through March 31.
Your Pie: The fast-casual pizza brand will have $3.14 10-inch pizzas Saturday with its Your Pie Rewards App.

Boston Market: With a Pi Day coupon Saturday, get a free Rotisserie Chicken Pot Pie with the purchase of another pot pie and drink. The coupon is available at www.bostonmarket.com.
Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen: Order the restaurant’s Homemade Chicken Pot Pie for dining in or to-go Saturday and get a free second pie to bake at home. No coupon needed, and Cheddar’s says it will provide the baking instructions. Learn more at www.cheddars.com/pieday.
